Following the tragedy that happened at the Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN, two South Africans, Thanduxolo Doro and Mpho Molebatsi, who lost relatives in the incidence have revealed plans to sue Prophet TB Joshua.

It would be recalled that about 115 people, including 84 South Africans, reportedly lost their lives in the multi-storey building collapse of September 12, 2014, at Ikotun area of Lagos State.
The collapse, according to authorities, was caused by improper architectural work as the floors were more than the weight the foundation of the building could hold.
It was revealed that Doro and Molebatsi waited at Johannesburg’s OR Tambo airport for days after receiving news of the tragedy waiting for their sisters who have been visiting SCOAN to return. Both families were said to have heard from their relatives hours before the collapse.
Doro, whose sister Vathiswa Madikiza died in the accident explained that the suit is not about the building collapsed, but what was done after the collapse. He condemned the fact that they did not receive any news from the
“When I contacted them they wouldn’t tell me anything. We saw reports that emergency workers were denied access initially, access that could have saved lives. The actions of the church after the incident are very telling,” Doro said.
Similarly, Molebatsi, whose sister Hlubi Molebatsi, was also killed revealed that, he had contacted his lawyers. He said he has spoken to other families but it has been difficult because it is a time of mourning. He insisted that he wants to see families get something from the church because some of the people that died were breadwinners.

Meanwhile, about 25 survivors of the building collapse have continued to receive medical attention following their return to South Africa. Authorities confirmed that 16 of the wounded are in critical condition, with some having had limbs amputated and other complications.
It would be recalled that on September 22, 2014, a South African opposition party, Democratic Alliance also revealed plans to sue the founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN, Prophet T. B. Joshua, over the deaths of some of its nationals at the church building collapse.
