Senate approve Jonathan's $1bn loan request to purchase arms.

 

The Nigerian senate today 25th September approved President Jonathans $1bn external loans to fight terrorism in the country.

The decision was taken after the submission of the report by the Senate Joint Committee on Finance and that of Local and Foreign debt by the chairman,Senator Ahmed Makarfi. It was further said by Makarfi that the  loan request was not in cash but supply of military hardware to be paid for over seven years.
